How to use Total Wood Preserver<\/strong><\/div>\n
Before you start<\/strong><\/div>\n
1. Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Use a stiff broom to get rid of any ingrained dirt.<\/div>\n
2. If you have mould, algae or fungi, use a garden cleaner to get rid of them.<\/div>\n
3. Decayed wood should be strengthened with a wood hardener.<\/div>\n
4. If there is any paint, stain or varnish on the wood you will need to remove it. You can do this with a stripper or sanding the surface.<\/div>\n
Application<\/strong><\/div>\n
1. Give the tin a good shake to mix the colour pigments.<\/div>\n
2. Dip the end grains into the preserver so it completely soaks into the wood.<\/div>\n
3. Use a brush to apply preserver to the rest of the wood.<\/div>\n
4. Wait 24 hours for the first coat to dry.<\/div>\n
5. Add a second coat, following the same process.<\/div>\n
6. If you need to carry out any repairs or gluing, wait until the second coat is totally dry.<\/div>\n

Aftercare<\/strong><\/div>\n
To keep your wood in a good condition, apply a new coat every year.<\/div>\n
Cleaning<\/strong><\/div>\n
1. Remove as much excess product off your brush as you can.<\/div>\n
2. Clean it with a brush cleaner<\/div>\n
You should never empty left over preserver into drains or watercourses.\u00a0To find out how to properly dispose of your leftovers, contact your local council.<\/div>\n
